If you notice your thoughts and actions in any moment, you can most often trace them back to one of two seed thoughts: “I need love” or “I am love.” “I need love” drives us to search outside ourselves for the next thrill, person, or situation that might fill the void we feel inside. Yet there is an unchanging part of us that has witnessed every rise and fall of our life without clinging or rejecting because it is already full. When we learn to identify with and align our life choices with it, we relax into the continuous, harmonious current of “I am love.” The Path of Joyful Living threads together traditional yoga teachings, personal stories, and practices to help the reader see that his or her very essence is love. As this recognition grows through greater awareness and mindful engagement in the world, our quality of life can improve at every level, from physical health to mental clarity to spiritual well-being.
